Corey Linhart

Co-Owner & Head Coach

Coach Corey Linhart has been a CrossFitter for the past 10 years and specializes in movement analysis. "I can prescribe drills/mobility items to work on not only the movement at hand, but every movement related to it... I am passionate about instructing people on how to move better," he says.

Corey's story in founding CrossFit Invalesco stems from a long time fitness career, of seeking growth and finding solutions. During the start of his coaching career, Corey taught at another gym, and throughout this experience, wanted to continue learning and growing in both fitness and coaching skill. After having to teach himself much of what he wanted to learn, he realized that the owners of the gym were in it for the hobby of fitness, he realized he wanted a more serious option. "So, CrossFit Invalesco was born." Pre-CrossFit, Corey was primarily a wrestler in his youth, however moved toward a larger array of team sports such as baseball, basketball and football. After a collegiate MMA career, he even earned a Navy SEAL challenge contract.

When Corey isn’t training, he can likely be found hanging out with his dog.

Alison Rogers

Co-Owner & Head Coach

Coach Alison Rogers brings 6 years of experience to CrossFit Invalesco's coaching staff. With a background in distance running, having 6 half marathons under her belt and the Spartan Trifecta to boot, Alison has a unique blend of experiences that have lead her to have passion for not only the sport of CrossFit itself, but for health of those she works with. "I am passionate about people learning that it’s good to “worry about yourself” sometimes," she says. "I believe taking this time to focus on yourself makes you better for the rest of your day. It makes you make better nutritional choices, have more energy, be more focused and feel better mentally."

Alison loves to see members do things they never thought they could. "I also love when a coaching cue makes that “light bulb” moment happen for someone. When something they have been struggling with suddenly clicks. It’s pretty magical," she says. Not only is she a passionate coach, she is also a mom with a journey to CrossFit that felt like "it was meant to be." With two young kids, and a struggle to find the motivation to get fit, Alison tried CrossFit and became immediately hooked. After participating for some time, she wanted to give back to the CrossFit community in a bigger way, effectively kickstarting her coaching career. "My passion for the sport of CrossFit as well as the amazing community of people makes me feel so fortunate everyday to call coaching my job. I am a believer that everything happens for a reason, and I believe I am where I am supposed to be."

Alex Brouwer

Coach

Coach Alex is three years into their CrossFit journey, and found his passion for the sport after looking for a way to strengthen muscles overused or underused in endurance events . With a background in running, cycling, and triathlons, he has found a passion in watching people willingly challenge themselves to get better every day. "I love the idea of helping people improve their daily lives through improved movement and strength," he says. “Helping someone run a 6min mile or clean 250lbs is great, but the thought of someone waking up without pain, or being able to pick up and play with their grandkids is even more rewarding to me.”

While he may spend a lot of time at Invalesco, Alex also enjoys participating in competitive endurance events. In 2017, he qualified for the Half Ironman World Championships
